Abstract
This business plan highlights the viability of setting up an ecological hotel that will carry out its activity on the island of Formentera, an island that gathers thousands of visitors every year in search of sun and beaches.
Our project will deal with the idea of a hotel based on quality (4 stars) and respect for the environment, which will be the fundamental premises of the business.
Green Hotel consists of 70 rooms (2 suites, 10 superior rooms, and 58 double rooms). All of them will have materials of the highest quality and design, 24-hour customer service, minibar, among others.
The target audience to which our business is directed includes the ages between 20 and 65 with a high purchasing power and aware of the need for a more ecological human behavior. It is especially focused on people from the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain since they are the public that most visit the island in summer to enjoy their holidays.
The opportunity and the future of the business will be based on the value for money, cleanliness, and safety, location, with respect to the environment; tranquility, and dealing with the client.
To carry out this business, 29 workers will need to be hired. The staff will be made up of a general manager, public relations, housekeeper, waiters, receptionists, waiters, cooks, maintenance technician, etc.
As for the initial investment in the form of capital, it will amount to 4.8 million euros. The total amount of the investment is 10.7 million, the remaining part will be financed by a 10-year long-term loan with an interest of 3.5%. The investment is high since we plant the business from the purchase of the land to its construction so that the most environmentally friendly construction technology is incorporated into its design.
Regarding the final results, it is expected to achieve, according to the estimates made, the first two in losses and the third year began to recover the investment made with a positive profit.
