Abstract As technology thrives in many new directions, it is also important to find the optimal measures to protect human assets from natural or unnatural disasters. For example, forest fires, triggered by climate change and rising temperatures, could penetrate hundreds of homes and damage property. Therefore, it is necessary to develop effective protection measures that help the population to keep their property unharmed. Fire protection systems, such as intumescent paints, are a suitable solution for different materials and structures. However, its application on pretreated biomaterials, such as wood, has not yet been developed. |
