This work analyzes the five major publicly traded oil and gas companies: Royal Dutch Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, Total and Chevron, also known as Big Oil or Supermajors, from the resources and operations of these companies.
It is also intended to study the adaptation of these companies to the new clean energies that are gaining relevance in a sustainable future and the strategies and paths that can lead these companies to have a business model beyond crude oil.
It also investigates the global energy industry and the factors that characterize it, analyzing the part related to the supply of energy generation and also the demand to which it is supplied.
