Abstract

The fashion industry generates a lot of waste and makes an excessive use of natural resources. To make a T-shirt they need 2,000 liters of water, between 3,000 and 4,000 liters for a sweatshirt and 7,000 liters for jeans. Additionally, plastic production in Europe stood at 61.8 million tons in 2018. Spain is among the 6 countries that will concentrate two-thirds of the demand for plastic for this year, with 7.6%. The product we are proposing is based on clothing lines for men and women with modern and high quality designs, made from recycled PET plastic, combined with other recycled fabrics.
such as cotton or those that best suit the designed piece, all through a business model based on electronic commerce through our website. For the year 2017, the turnover of the textile sector in Spain reached 5,852 million euros, and it is expected that our sales for the first year will be above 246,000 euros and the third year will exceed 560,000 euros.
It is estimated that as of the second year, the economic profitability reaches 60% and the financial profitability is greater than 170%.
An investment of 87,000 euros is required to start operations, of which the partners will contribute 60,000 euros of capital and a loan will be requested from a bank to finance other expenses.
