Abstract

In this project, a low cost and plug and play water quality station based on Internet of Things is designed. The aim of this station is to improve the processes where water plays a main role. In this work, the station is added in a company of the chemical sector. Specifically, it is plugged in the outcome of water treatment system to ensure the qualitty requiered for Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB).
The development board used is the ESP32-EVB-EA-IND by Olimex. The parameters meas-ured are temperature, pressure, dissolved solids, turbidity and pH with sensors DS18B20 (AZ-Delivery), SEN0244, SEN0189, SEN0257 and SEN0169-V2 (DFRobot). The acquiered data is send and displayed on control monitor using the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol trough the Eclipse Mosquitto y Node-Red's softwares.
