These products have been classified and ordered according to the therapeutical group and subgroup they belong to (ATC codes), and information about COVID-19 and its impact on people’s health has been sought. From the 137 million of packages analysed (data from Department of Health) in 2021, the most important anatomical group, with a 30% of the quota, is the nervous system that, in addition, has had an 11% of increase with regards to the period before the pandemic, being the therapeutical group of analgesics the one accountable for boosting this growth. Moreover, it has been detected that the anatomical group of anti-infective drugs has suffered the most important reduction on the volume of safes with respect to period before COVID-19 pandemic, a 26% decrease.
