Abstract

The objective of this final degree project is to analyze the degree of openness (open innovation) that exists among companies in the pharmaceutical sector. The study suggests that pharmaceutical companies use open innovation strategies to enhance their projects and social networks to innovate and generate new ideas. Through a survey of the most important companies in this sector, results have been obtained that show that the majority of pharmaceutical companies pursue collaboration/cooperation strategies with external partners in order to improve or promote new projects. At the same time, it has been found that there is still a long way to go in the field of digital channels, not always aimed at innovation and the generation of new ideas.
