Abstract
The Principality of Andorra is a country with a high number of annual visitors and tourists. However, the gastronomic offer is saturated and there is no establishment that provides new experiences.
In many European cities, "food courts" have become popular, gastronomic venues where you can eat a wide variety of dishes and different cuisines in different kiosks. Examples of these are: the Nacional in Barcelona, the Mercado de San Miguel in Madrid, the FoodHallen in Amsterdam or Oslo Street food.
The Mercat de Meritxell was born with the intention of being an establishment that provides a new experience to the inhabitants and tourists of Andorra, creating a space with 8 kiosks spread over two floors offering various cuisines: Andorran Cuisine, Pizzas, Asian Cuisine, Meat, Fish and Seafood, Desserts. In addition, a bar will be located on each floor to provide drinks to customers.
Located on Avenida Meritxell, it is in the best commercial area of the Principality, so it can be easily located and visited by the inhabitants and tourists of Andorra.
It is expected to bill €1,472,538.52 the first year, €2,155,266.93 the second year and €2,330,331.17 the third year with profits of 20%, 29% and 30% respectively.
The business idea is viable both financially and economically, it requires an initial investment of €274,061.00.
The viability of the Mercat de Meritxell is reflected in chapter 9 where it shows that the company is capable of generating profits in the first year of its existence.
The Mercat de Meritxell aims to be a benchmark for Andorran gastronomy, due to its setting, its commitment to trade and local production. Being an informal environment where you can socialize with friends and create unique experiences in Andorra, it also wants to promote awareness of today's problems with collaboration with non-profit entities and NGOs.
