Abstract
After analyzing the market for reading social networks globally, we believe that a hole in the market can be found if we prioritize what we consider most important in a social network: socialization and an excellent user experience. That is why we developed a business model for a social reading network that focuses on these two pillars, with the ultimate goal of knowing the feasibility of the project and seeing if it has a place in the market. For the implementation of this, a PESTEL analysis, a SWOT and a market analysis will be carried out that will be supported through the strategic, marketing, operations and economic plan.
The idea continued thanks to a need that we found in the market, the loss of a hobby like reading. Our solution is to implement an application that combines the world of reading and social networks. The work is focused on a broad sector of society that covers all kinds of people regardless of age, sex, race, etc. For this work we have analyzed the market and other factors that can influence our product such as seasonality. We have informed ourselves about all tax issues in order to create the product and the company. We have made a three-year forecast to see the sales and income that we could make.
Through the processes that we would have to go through to create and implement the application, we have analyzed all the processes that have to go through, once a person is hired and we have seen that at the moment it was not paying off. In order to have other opinions, apart from our own and those of those closest to us, we conducted a survey to which more than 500 users responded.
In conclusion, we could say that it is not just about creating an application, but that there is a long process behind it. There are different contracts, legal issues and other processes that you have to go through to be able to practice in the market.
