Abstract

The operation of an online FTIR sensor is studied in this project. It begins with the assembly of the sensor, secondly, the flow chemistry accessories are attached to make a continuous circuit. The equipment is started up and the necessary tests are carried out before starting the experiments. Known pure substances are injected and analyzed to verify correct operation and finally the study of a chemical reaction is carried out.
The results of the spectra of the pure substances are high quality and the results are obtained very quickly. The 2,2-dimethoxypropane has been synthesized, the conversion of the reaction has been quantified and the verification has been carried out with Raman.
