Abstract

The constant growth of world trade, technologies, communications and globalization make consumers increasingly aware of all the offers that exist in the market. They become more demanding every day, demanding not only higher quality products and services, but they also expect to be served in premises updated to current times, where speed, comfort and personalized attention are prioritized.
Supermarkets offer all types of basic products in one place, allowing consumers to not have to go to different places to get all the products they want. In short, a supermarket satisfies customers' need for food and their desire to save time.
Based on this last criterion, the general purpose of this project is to implement a new supermarket model that achieves maximum time savings in this type of establishments. This new business concept will offer a new and innovative way to buy food products quickly aimed at optimizing time.
In this project, the feasibility of opening an innovative convenience supermarket located in the city of Barcelona has been analyzed. This will revolutionize the idea we have of traditional markets since there will be no cashiers or cashiers, but it will be the customer themselves who, on their own, will carry out all the purchasing procedures thanks to smart carts. You will only take what you want, scan the product, pay and leave the establishment.
Thanks to the implementation of these carts, not only will long lines at the supermarket be avoided, but it will also allow the establishment to remain open to the public 24 hours a day, every day of the year without the need to have staff present.
In order to study and ensure that this project is one hundred percent feasible, it has previously been required to carry out a study of all the variables that may affect this business in this Business Plan.
