1,6-naftiridin-2(1H)-ones: Síntesi i aplicacions biomèdiques

This work has been done using the SciFinder database. It has been necessary to work and explore the tool in order to know the multiple search options offered by the database to perform a specific mapping for organic compounds, especially 1,6-naphthyridin-2(1H)-ones. One of the main objectives has been to accept the invitation of the journal Pharmaceuticals (IF: 4,286, ISSN: 1424-8247) to publish the review entitled: 1,6-naphthyridin-2(1H)-ones: Synthesis and biomedical Applications in the Topical Collection: Heterocyclic Compounds and Their Application in Therapy.
After all the initial search, we wanted to gather more information by dividing the search into 3 parts. The structural search, where we wanted to study the different substituents observed in the different substitutable positions of the naphthyridine substructures. The search for synthetic methodologies, where different pathways of synthesis known to date have been analyzed. And finally, a search was made for the different biomedical applications and/or the biological activity together with the evaluation of the different results obtained. An already marketed drug has been found that will also be discused.
