Business Plan: Delivery service of healthy lunches

Abstract

With the objective of contributing to the balanced nutrition of the population of Barcelona as well as contributing to the care of the environment, this work plan is based on the delivery sale of healthy lunches following good practices that help to avoid generating more waste that contaminates when it comes to cooking and transporting food.
This business plan is made up of 10 chapters. The first chapter presents more details of what the business idea is about as the necessity to cover, the solution and proposal, the revenue model, and the ethical assessment of the business.
In the second chapter, the product and service design is presented considering that the company will provide both the lunches as a product and the ordering and shipping service at the same time. Therefore, this chapter shows a graphic representation of the business brand as well as what the product consists of and the considerations to be taken into account in its development, such as the products and services that are not covered, the protection of intellectual property and the possibilities of having a patent. The third chapter explains the economic context in which the business will be developed, analyzing the economic situation in the world and in Spain, the country in which the business will operate. The fourth chapter presents the analysis of the market, the target customer, competitors, and distribution channels used by the company as well as the one defined for the proposed business. The fifth chapter explains everything related to the company's operations, including warehouse management, manufacturing, and order distribution management, considering that all the activities mentioned will be carried out at the same establishment. In the sixth chapter, the cost structure is explained, defining that having two types of products, the normal menu and the vegetarian menu, the prices that cover the costs would be 12.42 and 9.06 euros respectively, including VAT. The seventh chapter presents the business strategy considering aspects such as mission, vision, values and corporate objectives, porter, pestle, and swot analysis as well as the value chain, the competitive strategy and advantage. In the eighth chapter, the organization of the company is presented, defining that the company will have its own employees and that outsourcing services will also be contracted. The ninth chapter is presented the marketing and sales management details explaining the marketing strategy, the value proposition, price analysis, how communication and promotion will be handled as well as the sales plan. In the tenth chapter, the economic and financial evaluation is presented, determining that the business proposal would be profitable.
