Abstract Nowadays, more and more people want to volunteer, either because it is a characteristic that is taken into account when hiring an employee or because more and more young people are more involved with society. We were researching and looking at different studies, and we saw that many of the young people did not do volunteer activities for fear of not knowing how to help, or not having things in common with the patient and therefore not having a good time in need. Another factor that influenced us to do this project is that we have both been both patient and volunteer. 6 years ago, Carlota was hospitalized for 2 and a half months in the hospital. He lived first hand how boring it is to be in the hospital so long, always seeing the same people. At that point she would have appreciated a similar volunteer coming to play with her. On the other hand, that same year, Candela volunteered at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and saw how it helped to go only one hour a week. Both relatives and patients appreciated this time. For the same reason, we decided to create an app. The operation is very simple, the patient and the volunteer are discharged, and they have to add what their hobbies, tastes, hobbies are… using an algorithm, the application connects a patient and a volunteer with similar tastes. In this way, we ensure that both users have a good time talking and sharing what they like best. Our clients are not only patients and volunteers, but also family members. Many children spend long periods in hospitals, and consequently their families as well. Many have to go home, to work, or just need a moment of disconnection, and thanks to this app they will be able to leave the hospital as their relatives will be with a volunteer like him and having a good time. Through this business plan, we do not want to make any profit, so the application will be completely free. Costs will be covered by donations we receive from our sponsors. Our goal is to establish ourselves in all the hospitals in Spain, but this is a very long process, so we will start looking for the approval of the hospitals in Barcelona city. With COME TO ME, we want to encourage young people to volunteer and improve the quality of patients' stays in hospitals. |
