Abstract The invention of Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) technology was a major breakthrough in the pipe rehabilitation field. However, it is a very young technique with a wide margin of improvement ahead. In some fields as in the rehabilitation of sewer pipes, CIPP is beginning to be a mainly used technic. Despite, in the field of rehabilitation of tap water pipes, problems are often and came from multiple causes. So, it is very difficult to determine what has failed in each rehabilitation. In potable drinking water pipes, the high working pressures exponentially magnify the slightest problem or distraction. In many cases, this means starting again the rehabilitation adding an extra cost, and making this technique no longer so economical compared to the traditional replacement of the damaged pipe. |
