Abstract The encapsulation of viral vectors, as well as AAV, to treat various diseases has revolutionized conventional medicine. Specifically, the design of gene therapies based on the formation of polymeric coatings synthesized with pBAEs. In order to achieve medical success, therapeutic vehicles must be able to transduce into target cells and evade the immune system. Despite the advantages of using pBAEs, its positive charge causes viral particles to enter unwanted cells. In this work, two polymeric coatings of rAAV9 vectors will be carried out by functionalizing the pBAE polymer in the side chain in order to favour a more stable encapsulation and prevent transduction to unwanted cells. |
