Abstract

All start-ups have the same stages and tend to have similar profiles, mainly technical profiles. What we have detected is that, if a start-up starts in an incubator, after doing a round of funding, it will most likely have to meet certain objectives such as tripling its turnover and team. The office is not just a space where you go to work, but a place to attract and retain talent. That's why Let's Work is born, a fusion between a social club and a coworking that incorporates mechanisms in offices to transmit the work culture and focused on startups in Barcelona. We are going to give them flexibility and tools that will help them grow. Let's Work is more than a workplace, it's a place where users go to spend the day, to drop their kids off at daycare, to learn, to play sports, to meditate and to work. It is a kind of social club where people not only work, but also make business contacts and friends. We focus on companies that are growing very fast, that are constantly growing and recruiting staff. The sector is very rigid in certain conditions, but we will help and strengthen these companies. The companies don't have to worry or invest in anything, we will do everything ourselves, because we believe that all the money they raise should be invested in the project and not in buying chairs and furniture. Let's Work is going to start with a property in the Sarrià - Sant Gervasi district, an area of Barcelona that large coworking companies have not exploited due to the fact that the properties are usually no larger than 1,000 square metres, characteristics that do not interest real estate investment funds that are looking for high returns in a short time. However, we have detected that this district has a high potential, as it is well connected by public transport, there are many universities, companies and little competition. We are going to compete by differentiation, offering, apart from the payment of supplies and furniture, additional services such as meetings with investors, speakers from the technological world, management masterclasses and leisure classes. In addition, we will have a built-in nursery to break the glass ceiling suffered by women, who in 87% of cases, according to the INE, stop working to look after their children. We will be a sustainable brand, located in central areas of cities so that users do not have to travel by private vehicle, emitting CO2 into the atmosphere. We will be a company that will take care of the environment, trying to use renewable energies, as well as recyclable office furniture and materials. Let's Work will start to be profitable in the second year of activity, reaching sales of €270,878.51 and net profits of €71,948.45 in the third year. Let's Work shareholders will have a return of 28% in the third year and a 29% efficiency of the company's assets. The company will expand by 2025 into strategic cities such as Valencia and Malaga, places that are becoming startup hubs, and where there is little competition in the flexible workplace industry.
Let's Work will start with an initial capital of €150,000 provided by the founders of the company. Later, if necessary, other forms of funding could be considered.
