Abstract

A veterinary pharmaceutical company is considering adapting a new area to manufacture tablets. The company markets veterinary tablets but their manufacture is outsourced to other companies. The products to be manufactured are already on the market and their galenic development is in force. The factory facilities are prepared for the manufacture of other pharmaceutical products such as liquids, injectables or powder mixtures. Thus, the project consists of adapting an available area in the company to implement the manufacture of tablets. To do this, the process must be designed, the necessary equipment selected and the quality standards that must be met must be established. Finally, an economic evaluation is carried out to assess the viability of the project.
