This project consists of the commercialization of an innovative product, called Tamprofen, which provides a solution to two problems. It is a product aimed at a basic feminine need. Tamprofen, being a tampon with ibuprofen, addresses both the hygienic part of menstruation and the medical part.
We are a pharmaceutical laboratory with 100% national capital, located in Catalonia. We are small in size dedicated for many years in the marketing of health products, vitamins, supplements, drugs and cosmetics. The manufacture of drugs has always been outsourced to third-party manufacturing laboratories.
The source of income will be the sale of the product in pharmacies and wholesalers.
To carry out this project, an investment fund has invested in the research and development part of the drug. Once the clinical trials have been carried out and after having determined the efficacy, safety, and quality of the drug, it is marketed under our laboratory.
In addition to the investment by the development fund, we have invested € 500,000 and requested a 2M loan from a business angel.
To reach customers we have a team of medical and commercial sales representatives. The first objective is to publicize the product, normalize dysmenorrhea and get closer to women and see that they can support us, so that they trust our product.
We expect annual sales of € 660,000 from Tamprofen, with a growth of 10% in the second and third years. Throughout the work we will analyze all the factors that will influence Tamprofen's ability to succeed.
