Abstract

WorkEats was born from the need to want healthy food in the workplace during the workday and without having to invest the time at home. It is a service aimed at those workers located in the Barcelona area. The objective of the project is that the client can savor a healthy and quality menu at their workplace. In this way, WorkEats wants to differentiate itself from the competition, other applications, and restaurants, due to the ease and quality of the offer. The service is offered through a mobile application and a web page where the customer can choose between different dishes from the menu of the day. Once the order has been placed, it will be delivered to the workplace indicated by the user. With WorkEats the customer will avoid preparing food in advance, queues in restaurants, or ordering fast food because there is no other alternative. The initial investment necessary to start the business activity is provided by the two partners so that the sum of this investment is € 40,000. This figure covers fixed expenses, administrative procedures, and investments necessary to start the business. According to the company's calculations, the sales volume will increase every year. The income for the first three years will be € 172,800, € 264,000, and € 384,000 respectively. After analyzing the different ratios, WorkEats will be in optimal financial health. The treasury will be positive for what it means to be able to meet the payments. With the business model designed, the project would be profitable with only losses in the first year that would account for 3% of sales. In the next two years the benefits will mean 16% and 26% of sales. Increasing sales volume could mean investing and expanding the business both by expanding the delivery area and offering other catering services.
