Análisis del comportamiento mecánico de las aleaciones de aluminio AW 5754 y AW 6082, para su uso en las industrias del transporte y la construcción

Abstract

Aluminum is one of the most widely used materials in the world today. Specifically, AW-6082 and AW-5754 alloys are mainly applied in the transportation and construction industries.
The purpose of this project is to compare the two alloys with each other, by means of tensile tests performed with a universal machine. As part of this study, heat treatments will be applied to these alloys to analyze the effects they have on their mechanical properties. The simulation of the tensile test will also be performed using the Abaqus CAE finite element software and the results will be compared.
The ultimate goal is to understand in depth the behavior of both alloys, and determine which of them is most appropriate, with what treatment and at what temperature, for specific applications of both sectors.
