Abstract

The impact of the SARS-CoV-2 in the amusement parks industry and attractions manufacturers has been negative due to the mobility restrictions that governments have applied during the pandemic all over the world.
In the current Final Degree Project in Industrial Engineering Technologies, the design and conceptual simulation of a modular rollercoaster, easy to customize and adapt to the necessities and budget of clients to offer a solution to the sector recovery, is addressed. To achieve this general objective, modular parts and vehicle are designed with their material assignation, their assembly is defined and simulated with a specific route case, analysing its main characteristics.
In order to analyse and qualify the impact of the project, an environmental study will be developed to see how will this new way to produce rollercoasters will affect to nowadays society. Moreover, an economical study will also be done to estimate the necessary budget to invest in these characteristics project.
