The work in this paper studies the effects in the mechanical properties of shot peening and sand blasting in Ultem fabricated parts using additive manufacturing, Precisely, it studies how this surface treatment affect the traction and flexion resistance as well as the effect in have on fatigue life. For this work a hook shot peening machine and a pressure pot sandblasting machine have been use to treat parts printed using FDM technology. |
