Abstract The work carried out during the final degree project is framed in the development of the application of cyclodextrin complexes in the delivery of systemic drugs. Specifically, complexes with sulfobutyl ether have been used. Cyclodextrin as a vehicle for a hydrophobic drug such as voriconazole. Cyclodextrins are characterized by acting as excipients that improve the physical-chemical properties of the active ingredient such as stability, solubility and bioavailability of the active ingredient. Voriconazole is an antifungal used to treat infections systemic fungal. It belongs to the group of antifungals second- generation triazoles that have more potency and activity against resistant fungi than the first generation. |
