Abstract The present project studies the different types of electrical transport schemes present in the wind industry today, with special emphasis on the importance of direct current, which in the past was widely used until it fell into disuse by alternating current and recently, by means of current converters, used in offshore wind projects. Therefore, and given that it is a technology of the future, this work studies the circumstances under which each type of electrical energy transport from offshore wind farms to land is viable. |
