Abstract

Humanity is continually expanding, both numerically and territorially. Due to this reality, combined with the little control and responsibility of the different governmental institutions in recent years, our planet is at a critical moment in terms of resources and management of its spaces. For that reason, different solutions and mentalities are being promoted to reverse, or at least reduce, the situation. Linked with this idea, the world of construction is betting on an emphasis on global sustainability, seeking less impact, greater efficiency, better materials ... One of the most innovative resources and in full swing is modular construction. This mode is applicable in all areas of construction where it is imperative to find a better balance, both environmental and functional, as would be the case in the hospitality industry. In this project, the possibilities and situation of the current modular construction will be known along with its potential in the hotel world. Existing projects of various uses will be analyzed and compared, especially in modular hotels, in order to provide a design of a modular hotel prototype, on a specific site, based on this type of construction.
