Abstract

In a constantly evolving society, with technology and innovation at the forefront, certain aspects of service station payment methods need to be updated.
Our product is an innovative form of automatic payment: the automatic payment of gasoline through vehicle registration recognition. This payment allows the user who refills petrol not to have to waste time going to the cashier (once or even twice) and therefore this almost daily activity is more comfortable for him and is more satisfied with the service. offered.
Specifically, when the vehicle approaches the fountain, a camera recognizes the ferry's license plate and links it directly to a bank account with which it will pay for the petrol. All this through its own mobile application, which also offers a number of advantageous features for the end user, such as: enter a personal code (SMS) to ensure a secure payment or the multivehicle option (more than a vehicle in the same bank account).
As for the revenue model, we receive money through the sale and installation of the product (clearly majority income), a maintenance fee and finally a monthly subscription that will be paid by those customers who want us to take the management of the base of data and software.
In addition, our payment system will significantly increase gas station billing. Many people, in order not to go to the cashier more than once, say that they want to put back a certain amount of euros not to say full and have to go back to the store to pay the respective amount. This system will cause users to sometimes put the tank full and therefore gas stations will make more money.As for the market segment, of the more than 11.6 thousand service stations in Spain, we expect to cover almost 5% of the total number of gas stations in the first three years, approximately 500, and continue with a positive trend in the coming years. The customer we will focus on is medium-sized gas stations. It is important to mention that in Spain, almost half of the total number of petrol stations belong to the three major oil companies: Repsol, Cepsa and BP. Therefore, we will focus mainly on negotiating with medium-sized companies with less bargaining power, Esergui (AVIA), Petrocat, Saras or Meroil, as discussed in more detail in point 3.3.2. Market segment, size and potential customer.
After a long and intense market study and a financial analysis as realistic as possible, we can stay positive with the results obtained. In the first year we expect a loss of approximately € 22,000, given the large initial investment and the search for new customers. In the second year we have a turnover of € 150,000 and a net profit of € 37,000, so we already cover the losses for Year 1. In the third year we already have a turnover of more than € 240,000 and some profits. net of approximately € 123,000, which makes this business very attractive. In addition, it should be noted that the planned treasury for the three years is positive and will maintain the main activity of the company and purchases. As for the financing of the investment, as partners we will disburse an amount that we believe is necessary of 70 thousand €. We are open and happy with any financing proposal from any investor who is interested in the project. We will not apply for any loans as we do not want to have any interest or bank pressure at the beginning. Finally, it would be interesting to mention two essential ratios to measure the performance of the company and the profitability generated. These are ROE and ROA. Except for the first year that the company gets a negative result for the year, the other 2 years are expected to have great results. Both the ROE and the ROA are around 30-50%, which means that the company is generating excellent returns with its assets and capital. These are extremely positive figures from an investment point of view.
